Extended Warranty & Service Contracts

Designed exclusively by Hitachi Construction Machinery (UK), the SOLAS Service package gives universal cover with a comprehensive range of benefits to ensure Hitachi machines are maintained to the very best standards, resulting in maximum reliability and performance.

  • Service by Hitachi trained engineers
  • Only genuine and approved parts
  • Life of contract annual inspections
  • All round cover
  • Second hand value enhancement with full dealer service history

Take your pick from three extended warranty options: Full Coverage, Power Train or a combination of both.

Suitable for extensively operated excavators and wheel loaders, such as those in demolition, mining and quarrying, Full Coverage is an extension of the standard warranty covering the same components for a maximum period of 60 months or 10,000 hours (whatever comes first).

Power Train covers major components, such as hydraulic cylinders, main pumps, swing bearings, travel motors, swing motors and control valves. It starts when the standard warranty expires and is effective for a further 48 months or 8,000 hours. It is ideal if your excavator or wheel loader works in general construction projects.

Fleet Management – Owner's Site

With access to Hitachi e-Service Owners Site, you can monitor your machines performance 24/7. Utilising sophisticated on-board monitoring technology we collect vital data for the efficient operation of your machine, including fuel efficiency, CO2 emissions, idling time and health.

Included as standard on all midi, medium and large size excavators and wheel loaders, we will use this data to proactively advise on preventative maintenance and alarms if they occur.

Owner’s site:

  • You can find out all you need to know about your fleet of Hitachi construction machinery in the field from the comfort of your home or office, thanks to Owner’s Site.
  • This online management tool, available at, is user-friendly and offers extensive and detailed information on your Hitachi Zaxis excavators and ZW wheel loaders.
  • The data is displayed in a flexible layout, so you can create machine groups per job site or select relevant information, depending on your requirements.
  • As every project is different, you can customise the Owner’s Site dashboard to view data quickly and easily.

What data will help your business?

  • The ratio of operating and non-operating hours can help to enhance efficiency on busy job sites.

Fleet Management – Machine Reports & Apps

ConSite data report service sends you a monthly email to summarise the information available on Global e-Service for each of your Hitachi machines.

ConSite Report

  • Further into the ConSite report, you’ll see non-operation and swing efficiency ratings and ratios. These compare the machine’s performance against the same model class from all Hitachi owners in your region.
  • The monthly and total number of hours are divided for front, swing, travel and attachment operations. This will help you to determine the actual usage of your machine and maintenance planning.
  • The monthly analysis of these variables is compared to the total lifetime of the machine in a user-friendly chart. A line graph shows the actual and projected number of hours, which helps you to manage maintenance requirements.
  • For dump trucks, data on distance travelled, payload analysis, and durability of tyres is also available.

ConSite Oil

  • ConSite can also inform you of the condition of the engine and hydraulic oil in Zaxis-6 excavators.
  • This is thanks to data from two unique sensors, which monitor oil quality 24/7.
  • If the quality deteriorates or the oil becomes contaminated for example, your local dealer will be notified via text or email so the cause can quickly be identified and fixed. This is not only increased machine availability but also reduces maintenance requirements, saving you both time and money.
