HCMUK's Health & Wellbeing Commitment

We recognise that the physical, mental, and financial health and wellbeing of our people is vital to the success of our business. We are committed to positively influencing staff wellbeing and creating work environments where they have good health and the opportunity to thrive.

Our health and wellbeing program is supported by a strategy and four key objectives to enable us to go beyond simple box ticking. We aim to deliver a meaningful difference to our people by continually promoting healthy living, providing support, and empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. 

Our four key objectives are: 

  • Engage employees and increase awareness
  • Promote prevention and early action
  • Encourage health and wellness initiatives
  • Support employee wellbeing with effective systems

Our long-term objectives are overseen by a Health and Wellbeing Committee attended by key stakeholders. The aim of this committee is to ensure the continual improvement and achievement of all corporate health and wellbeing objectives with appropriate financial and physical resources made available by the Company. 

We are proud to have achieved the Better Health at Work award for Bronze, recognising our commitment to creating a healthy workplace environment. In addition, HCMUK have also been awarded the Better Health at Work South Tyneside Health Advocate Special Recognition Award. Building on this success, we are now working towards Silver level of the programme.
