HCMUK raises £25,000 for The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity

HCMUK is delighted to have raised £25,000 for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, as a result of the UH063 auction.

The UH063 machine was sold to the highest bidder, Paul Poulter, Director at Surrey Excavations, with all proceeds going to The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, a charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

The cheque was presented to a representative from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity on Wednesday 22nd June at Hillhead Show by HCME President, Ikeda San.

Speaking about the auction, Dave Roberts, CEO at HCMUK said: “HCMUK is delighted to present this cheque to the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity to support the excellent and important work they undertake to support those employed in the construction industry.

“We’d also like to say a very special thank you to our highest bidder, Paul Poulter, Director at Surrey Excavations for his very generous contribution.”

Bill Hill, CEO of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity said, “We’re delighted to receive this money as a result of this unique auction. It’s  certainly one to remember, so thank you to Hitachi and everyone involved in raising funds for us!”
