HCMUK DONATES £2,500 TO CHILD BEREAVEMENT UK

Monday, November 22, 2021

Hitachi Construction Machinery UK (HCMUK), is delighted to have donated £2,500 to Child Bereavement UK, as part of Children’s Grief Awareness Week.

Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.

The donation comes after employees voted for HCMUK to support Child Bereavement UK earlier this year. The funds will assist the charity to provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them with the skills to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Representatives from Team HCMUK, said: “Child Bereavement affects so many people, and the fact that this charity was selected by our employees indicates this, so we are delighted to support it. We hope this donation will make a difference where it is needed most.”

Wendy Bray, Corporate Partnerships Officer at Child Bereavement UK, said: “Thank you to everyone at Hitachi Construction Machinery UK for the incredibly generous donation of £2,500. We are so grateful to the business community who have continued to support us through such a challenging time, making a huge difference to those bereaved not just through COVID-19 but by all causes.”

HCMUK will be continuing their charity support in 2022 and look forward to engaging with employees to choose other charities close to their hearts.
