Hitachi Construction Machinery UK celebrates 20 years at HQ

This month marks 20 years since we moved from our Bridgewater location to our current headquarters in Hebburn as HM Plant, before changing our name to Hitachi Construction Machinery UK in 2014. This move reflected the Company’s commitment to supporting our growing customer base as well as enabling more efficient and cost-effective importation of machinery via the North Sea from our factories in Amsterdam, Oosterhout, and Japan.

This dedicated production facility continues to provide a recently upgraded environment to meet the needs of the Company, which in recent years has also seen the expansion into the adjoining facility. Across the two sites, this unified 12-acre site provides the foundation we need to innovate, collaborate and continue to provide customer focused solutions for standard, specialist, and large machinery, including the rapidly expanding Hitachi Connected Technology division, which was previously located at the Port of Tyne depot.

The integration of these two sites not only enabled expansion but also enhanced quality, productivity, and planning capabilities, allowing us to deliver an even higher standard of service to our customers.
