CP Dynes put the first UK based Hitachi Zaxis ZX300LC-6 hydraulic excavator to work at RAF Alconbury

Tuesday, August 09, 2016

Hitachi Construction Machinery (UK) Limited are delighted to announce the first UK sale of the Hitachi Zaxis ZX300LC-6 medium sized excavator to CP Dynes, a groundwork and drainage contractor based in Chelmsford, Essex.

The family run company is one of the leading deep drainage and large bore specialists in the UK and Ireland. They are committed to delivering exceptional customer service across a range of small and large projects and as a result, replace each of the vehicles in their 40 strong fleet every three years.

Proprietor, Camillus Dynes, decided to add the Hitachi ZX300LC-6 medium excavator to the company’s fleet 6 weeks ago due to his past experience with Hitachi Construction Machinery. He opted for the new model based on its six-cylinder engine and high strength horsepower, which gives the excavator an edge above the rest with up to 15% increased productivity.

The excavator is built to withstand the toughest of environments and will therefore play a vital role in the installation of a new drainage infrastructure at the RAF station in Alconbury near Huntingdon. Its enlarged track guards and lower roller prevents track damage and it boasts a reinforced motor cover making it double that of the previous model and one of the most durable in its class. It is therefore set to be an efficient solution to its first project with a bucket depth of 1.63mᶟ and a versatile rotary tilt mode making the ZX300LC-6 ideal for reaching the 6 metre depths needed to fit the pipes.

The new innovative design of the latest excavator also builds on user experience as well as operational efficiency. The view from the cab has been substantially improved with fewer bars on the optional front guard minimising blind spots, and it comes complete with a fully adjustable seat, spacious cab, ergonomic controls and an advanced music system making it a comfortable environment even in the longest working hours.

Hitachi remains committed to reducing the environmental impact of their construction machinery in compliance with EU emission control stage IIIB. Fitted with a variable geometry turbocharger for optimal combustion, a high volume-cooled exhaust gas recirculation system and an auto shutdown feature to prevent fuel wastage, it’s no wonder CP Dynes were so keen to try the brand new ZX300LC-6 hydraulic excavator.
